Victim of Cell Phone
Wanderlust

Another hot summer day in the city, at the Connecticut and L Metro Bus stop, the temperature is at 95 degree. The air is stale. There is a guy standing 2 feet away, in blue and white stripe, talking on his cell phone. He is about 6'2", thin (or rather "swimmer's build") was quite a handsome guy. He was a breeze in this summer day.

Got on the same bus after 6 minutes wait. He sat 3 rows behind me on one of those parallel seats. Rush hour on Route 42 in was never a joy ride. Even though the bus comes every 5-6 minutes, still, it is always packed with tired, hungry and often stressed white-collar slave. 10 minutes into the journey, you can hear him still chatting away on his cell phone. At this point, I start to get a little disappointed with him. Another 5 minutes has gone by and the familiar, soon to be annoying voice still coming from the back of the bus. Now, regardless of the charming appearance, he is one insensitive, annoying, not-so courteous male species.

By the time he got off the bus, he has been on his cell phone for at least 25 minutes. I sometimes make fun of cell phone companies that offer 3000 minutes per month, wonder who would talk that much? Mr. Blue-White Stripe was the first one in line to sign up!
